Most exclude institutional landholders, serving and retired government employees above the lowest grades, income tax payers, and practising professionals such as doctors and lawyers. The benefit is normally per family, not per person, where a family means husband, wife and minor children.

Agriculture Infrastructure Fund (AIF)

Kisan Credit Card (KCC)

National Livestock Mission (NLM)

A 50% capital subsidy for setting up livestock businesses - up to Rs 50 lakh for sheep and goat units, Rs 30 lakh for piggery, Rs 25 lakh for rural poultry and Rs 50 lakh for feed and fodder units.

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY)

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Maan-Dhan Yojana (PM-KMY)

A voluntary pension scheme for small and marginal farmers aged 18 to 40. Members contribute Rs 55 to Rs 200 a month, the government matches it, and a pension of Rs 3,000 a month starts at age 60.
