Disclaimer

This is not a government website. Benefit Finder India is an independent information service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the Government of India, any state or union territory government, any ministry, or any government department or agency.

What this website is

Benefit Finder India is a free directory of Indian government schemes, scholarships, subsidies, loans and welfare programmes, with a questionnaire that helps you narrow that directory down to the schemes most likely to be relevant to your situation.

Every scheme listed here is a real programme published by a central or state government body. Every scheme page links to the official government source the information was taken from, and shows the date a person on our team last checked that source.

What this website is not

  • It is not an application portal. You cannot apply for any scheme through this website. Applications are made only on official government portals, and we link you directly to them.
  • It does not decide eligibility. Our questionnaire produces a list of schemes you may qualify for. Final eligibility and approval are determined solely by the relevant government authority, using their own criteria, documents and verification process.
  • It does not charge for anything, and it will never ask you for a payment, a processing fee, or an "application assistance" charge. If any website asks you to pay to apply for a government scheme, treat that as a warning sign.
  • It is not legal, financial, tax or professional advice.

How to read our results

We use careful language deliberately:

We say We mean
"You may be eligible" Your answers appear to meet the basic published criteria
"Based on the information you provided, you appear to meet the basic criteria" The same, stated more fully
"Potential benefit: ₹X, subject to official approval" ₹X is the published figure, not a promise of payment
"Information not provided" You skipped a question that affects this scheme, so we could not check it

We never tell you that you have been found eligible, and we never promise a particular payment, because we are not in a position to know either of those things.

The percentage shown next to a scheme is our own internal matching score. It describes how many of the scheme's published criteria your answers appear to meet. It is not a government assessment, a probability of approval, or an official determination of any kind.

Accuracy and currency

Government schemes change. Income ceilings are revised, deadlines move, programmes are merged, paused or discontinued, and portals are relaunched at new addresses. We monitor official sources for changes and review every scheme on a schedule, but there will always be a gap between a government making a change and our reflecting it.

For that reason:

  • Each scheme page shows a Last verified date. Treat information older than that date as potentially out of date.
  • Always confirm the details on the official government source before you rely on them, spend money, or make a decision.
  • If you find something wrong, please use the Report outdated information link on the scheme page. It takes a few seconds and does not require an account.

Limitation of liability

The information on this website is provided "as is", for general information only, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including as to accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from reliance on information published here, from any error or omission, from any scheme being unavailable, discontinued or differently administered than described, or from the content or availability of any external website we link to.

Your use of any government scheme is governed entirely by that scheme's own official terms and by the decisions of the administering authority.

Government names, logos and emblems

We refer to ministries, departments and schemes by their official names purely to identify and attribute the information we publish. We do not reproduce the State Emblem of India, any government logo, or any official insignia, and nothing on this site should be read as implying government endorsement, approval, or affiliation.
