Most central government scholarships are applied for through one portal,
the National Scholarship Portal, but several states run their own instead,
and which one you use depends on where you are domiciled rather than where
you study.
Two things catch people out. First, scholarships almost always require a
fresh application each academic year, and a renewal missed is a year lost.
Second, deadlines move: they are announced annually and frequently extended,
so a date you read last year tells you nothing about this year. Always check
the portal before you rely on a closing date, including one you read here.
