A 50% capital subsidy for setting up livestock businesses - up to Rs 50 lakh for sheep and goat units, Rs 30 lakh for piggery, Rs 25 lakh for rural poultry and Rs 50 lakh for feed and fodder units.

Financial assistance to install drip and sprinkler irrigation: 55% of cost for small and marginal farmers and 45% for other farmers, to save water and raise yields.

Crop insurance for farmers. Farmers pay a small share of the premium (2% for kharif, 1.5% for rabi, 5% for commercial and horticultural crops) and the governments pay the rest.

A voluntary pension scheme for small and marginal farmers aged 18 to 40. Members contribute Rs 55 to Rs 200 a month, the government matches it, and a pension of Rs 3,000 a month starts at age 60.
